Mark Prestipino

Mark joined Borealis Ventures in April 2010. Mark works as a member of the Borealis investment team as we evaluate new investment opportunities and facilitates the development of new start-up company ideas in the software space with our growing network of technology entrepreneurs and partners.

Mark brings 28 years of software industry experience to the Borealis team. He began his career in sales and general management, advancing to VP US Field Operations for Versyss (private/healthcare) and Softdesk (public/engineering). Mark then directed worldwide IT at Autodesk (public/engineering).

Mark most recently served as President/CEO at Borealis portfolio company Scribe Software (private/SMB integration), where he executed a successful turnaround, growth plan, and eventual sale of the company. Mark has successfully managed companies at all stages of development and is known as a hands-on executive with a track record of building strong teams and channels focused on delivering superior results and customer loyalty.
